Peter Simpson didt play left back - that was Bob McNab, Peter Simpson was a central defender alongside Frank McLintock, their brilliance can be judged by the very low "goals against" of the Arsenal team of that era.

There were two different English-born Peter Simpson players in North America in the 1960s and 1970s: Peter Simpson (footballer, born 1945) and Peter Simpson (footballer, born 1940).
